The incident took place around 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Strawberry Farm located in Litchfield County in Washington, said the Connecticut State Police.
The man was transported to Hartford Hospital by Life Star.
A second person was transported by ground EMS to a secondary medical center for a laceration to the leg, state police said.
The injury to the second person was sustained after being knocked down while securing a horse.
Both parties were conscious and alert at the time of transport.
